Random thought -8/3/06

I am my own worst critic. Everyone else may tell me I've done something well, but a lot of times I'll be like....Yeah, but if I'd done it a certain other way it may have been just a teeny bit better.

Hah! join the club :-)
I think it is a quest for perfection...which is not bad in itself but too much of such negative thinking means one never takes pleasure in what one does. Chill out :-D

I guess I should have expanded on that post.....
Nope, Ashwini,Iam not in the least bit a negative thinker....What I meant is that Iam basically always trying to better myself ....quest for perfection would be a "better" way to put it, I guess :-))

The problem with the fritters is that there is too much of water. Probably either the soya chunks had too much water retained in it or the mixture itself had too much water. The consistency should be that of mashed potato, like a paste consistency

Try to add as little water as possible. One more trick u can do if you have a coffee grinder is grind the soya (dry) into soya powder and use that for making the fritters.

Try it out and let me know and thanks for trying out the recipe. Sorry it did not come out right for you !!

Yeah, I suppose that's what the problem is. I didn't use any water to grind the chunks, but maybe I soaked them for too long and there was a lot of water inside the chunks. Will try it out again and let you know. Thanks for stopping by with your suggestions.
