I went in to buy a pack of turmeric powder and some poppy seeds.....and came back lugging two bags full of stuff that was a little too heavy for me to carry.
WoW- That was one big mission you accomplished..I tend to go overboard sometimes too, though, I have to constantly keep telling myself do i really need it etc.
Ummm true... Supermarkets are made with that motive in mind :) If you observe them, the dairy/vetegable/bakery(your daily need items) aisles are always at the end - so that you pass through the unwanted aisles first and while glimpsing at them you end up picking "unwanted" stuff in the bargain ! So make sure you do not do so :) Rgds, Sam !
I go positively bonkers at supermarkets too and they excite me so much more thank clothes/shoe shopping... unless of course I'm looking for clothes for my daughter. The adorable kids clothes make me want to buy everything.
oh :) But for just two items I used to go to the nearby grocery shop and never the super market. The super market visits are planned for once in a month with a strict list :)

ahahhaaa..this always happens to me..I go to buy 2$ things and end up bringing atleast 35$ worth heavy bags...
It happens.. now a days, I keep a check on myself everytime I pick something from shelfs of those supermarkets. Sometimes, its irresistable
What a pithy post!
I've read and followed a tip that seems to help - go just after you've had a meal, then you won't go that mad!
